in the heart of Uptown Chicago serving coffee, tea, and traditional Arabic-inspired bites in a space rooted in community and belonging. Named after the Palestinian village of Bayt Nabala - whose residents were displaced during the Nakba of 1948 - the café honors the resilience and continuity of Palestinian culture and diaspora. They are committed to being a welcoming third space for Palestinians, BIPOC, queer folks, and anyone seeking connection and community, embodying the spirit of gather.
Han Training is a liberation-focused fitness space
space rooted in care, accessibility, and community power. Their mission is to create affirming environments where queer, trans, disabled, immigrant, and BIPOC folks can explore movement on their own terms—without pressure to assimilate or sacrifice identity. Grounded in values of radical accessibility, autonomy, solidarity, and cultural integrity, Han Training approaches movement as a tool for healing, empowerment, and collective well-being.
denim d chang is a somatic trauma resolution practitioner and educator
providing education and individual services for somatic alchemy and energy medicine in Chicago. He is a queer and transgender Malaysian immigrant on the autism and ADHD spectrum.
He is the creator of somatics for the people, an emerging school for liberatory embodiment and trauma resolution skills for QTBIPOC providing accessible somatic education worldwide.
